INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
LANGUAGE The
main languages of OMEP are English, French, and Spanish. Articles
may be written in any of these three languages, and authors are
asked to also submit a short summary (200-300 words) in each
language.
FORMAT Articles should normally not exceed
5,000 words and should be type-written. They should be
double-spaced with one-inch margins, and follow American
Psychological Association (APA) style. English and Spanish
versions of the APA manual are available. For more information,
see http:/www.apa.org
CONTENT Since OMEP (Organisation
Mondiale pour l´Éducation Préscolaire), the
Non Governmental Organisation responsible for this journal, has
about 70 member countries from all continents of the world –
children’s life and education in different cultures are
central to this journal. The scope of the journal is key issues in
the field of early childhood education and care. Focus is on the
ages 0-8 years. The journal has two issues per year, of which
one has a specific theme and the other has mixed articles. Themes
of specific interest are: Multicultural questions, Children’s
learning and sustainable development, Recent issues within ECE,
Infants and toddlers in ECE, Children’s rights, Curriculum
questions for ECE. Articles about making children in different
cultures visible and cross-cultural studies within ECE are
especially welcome. REVIEW
Manuscripts are accepted for
review with the understanding that they are original, and have not
been submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors submitting a
manuscript for review should do so with the understanding that the
decision far acceptance and revisions rests with the Editors,
guided by the reviewers' comments. The review process may take
four to six months. Rejected manuscripts and disks cannot be
returned to the authors. Accepted manuscripts will be published
according to timeliness of subject matter, space availability, and
publication schedule. For copyright permission, please contact the
Editor.
SUBMISSION Manuscripts and book reviews written
in all languages (English, French, Spanish) should be sent to
Ingrid Pramling Samuelsson, Göteborg University, IPD/BUV,
SE-405 30 Göteborg, Sweden. Articles may also be submitted as
email attachments as MS Word documents to:
