Knud Illeris is professor in educational research at Roskilde University Center. He has made important contributions to the development of both theoretical and practical foundations of project work in education as well as to theories of learning and qualification, especially in the field of vocational education.
Amongst his many publications, e.g. on teacher education, motivational psychology, adolescence, gender and adult education, his latest book on theories of learning in the tension between Piaget, Freud and Marx has attracted special attention (Læring
